1 = 2? How to Destroy the Universe with Shitty Logic – Math 4 Monkeys

Did you know that 1=2? Don’t believe me? Check this out:

$a = b$

$ab = b^2$

$ab - b^2 = a^2 - b^2$

Now factor:

$b(a-b) = (a+b)(a-b)$

$b = a+b$

Which means that $b = 2b$ and so therefore $1 = 2$ !

What’s the fallacy? Dividing by zero¹. Can you spot where I did that?
